HI, SAN DIEGO!

The perfect city for outdoor fitness.

Around the world and back again

ADAM "JOE" AVERY

I'm a former Special Ops Navy Search & Rescue Swimmer, lifelong fitness fanatic, and avid world traveler. Including snorkeling in Tobago, haggling in the Spice Souks of Bahrain, trekking Thailand's northern jungles, cheering for the U.S. World Cup team in Seoul, and tracking down my ancestral roots all over Western Europe - not to mention everywhere I've been with the Navy - I love learning and being active in new places. But wherever adventure takes me, I always return to beautiful San Diego. There's no better place to live the outdoor fitness lifestyle.

For me, the more intense an activity the better! I've tackled military duress training head on and competed internationally in marathons, rugby, and outrigger canoeing. But I also know the importance of inner balance, which is why I'm into Tai-chi, learning about Corrective Posture, and early morning yoga.

I strive for intellectual excellence as well. I worked as a cancer research scientist after earning a B.S. in Animal Physiology & Neuroscience from UCSD. As a personal trainer and sports nutritionist, my medical science background helps me stay on top of the latest health knowledge and make well informed decisions with clients.

I'm eager to share my passion for living life to the fullest. In every aspect, I constantly push myself to be better at motivating and empowering people to reach their goals.

My clients are my drive. Let's inspire each other!

"I am proud to have served with Joe Avery. Not only was he a top performer in all military evolutions, his ability to motivate others earned him the title of FRAC class leader. He inspired us to study harder, stick to a healthy diet, and do extra physical training. We excelled at missions and stood out as among the strongest classes to graduate into the Romeo Helicopter Platform of Open Ocean Search and Rescue Swimmers. Joe's example and encouragement helped each of us achieve our personal best."
